Forestry Committee

We promote the protection and wise use of forest and tree resources in Central Indiana.

The Forestry Committee works to enhance and improve stewardship of Indiana's forest resources through sponsoring seminars, developing forestry-related programs, and organizing workshops for a variety of audiences.

The Committee's successes include Indiana's Backyard Tree Farm program, clinics for woodland landowners, the development of tree identification trails, and tree sale programs.

Recent accomplishments and current projects include a winter woodland owners' workshop and field days that educated participants on invasive species control.
